Amazon.com Review We would follow Stephen Huneck's black Labrador, Sally, anywhere--to the beach, to the mountains, and certainly to the farm. The Sally books are wonderfully witty glimpses into the simple psyche of a dog, where exciting new smells and tastes reign supreme. Sally first meets the golden Lab Molly, and after a comical round of introductory sniffing, her new friend proceeds to introduce her to Bessie the cow, who squirts them with milk. The doggy duo then eats like pigs, horses around, plows a field, and narrowly escapes a goosing. Each oversized illustration explodes with generous, boldly colored woodcut prints, as Huneck artfully captures the gorgeous striped geometry of farmland and fences--along with amusing canine antics. Simple sentences in a large clear font (designed by the artist himself) ensure smooth sailing and happy endings for early readers, but adults will enjoy the dry humor of these books just as much as kids will. (Ages 2 to 6) --Karin Snelson
Product Description Stephen Huneck's lovable black Labrador, Sally, returns to take readers on another romp - this time at a farm. First she meets Molly, a yellow Lab, who becomes her special friend and guide, introducing her to all of the fun animals and activities on the farm. Created in the same size and format as Sally Goes to the Beach and Sally Goes to the Mountains, the book is also illustrated with Huneck's signature brightly colored and delightful woodcut prints. Ideal for fans of Huneck's work as well as his new followers, this book will charm those who have not yet met Sally, and interest anyone who enjoys visiting the farm and its simple pleasures.

Love all of Stephen Huneck's Books June 9, 2008 P. M. Cooper (NJ) I introduced my 4-5 year old preschool students to Sally while doing the pet/vet theme in the classroom. The pictures in Stephen Huneck's books are large and clear and the text is easy to understand. The students were so surprised to see Sally again in the winter story and now in this farm book. I can't wait to read them the next one before summer-Sally Goes to the Beach!
Very simple,Very clever, Very funny December 10, 2005 C Rogers (New Zealand) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is for dog lovers and kids. Its great pictures and simple phrases exactly describes what our black lab does (right down to the 'worried' look on her face!), and therefore we found this book very funny. However we have shown this book to non dog lovers. They just give polite smiles/puzzled looks and change the subject!! So I guess if you know what catagory your in you'll know whether or not this book is for you!
The Best Book Yet in Huneck's Series! February 27, 2002 A Satisfied Reader (Vermont USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Delightful! Colorful! Enchanting! Stephen Huneck knows exactly what dogs think and what they love to do! Sally has certainly been on some wonderful adventures, to the beach and to the mountains, but going to the farm is just the most humorous and delightful story yet. The artist's charm and wit is magical. Everyone will love this book! And the woodcut prints that illustrate the books are absolutley fabulous! Anyone with a love for dogs, colorful art, or humor should buy this book (...)
