the pug ornament was very nicely detailed and realistic.
it does not look cheap or cheesey.
it is pretty heavy however, on my artificial 8 foot tree i struggled to find a fake branch sturdy enough to hang it on.
overall its a very nice ornament, but it might not work well on a very small 2-3 foot fake tree.

Review for two, (Black lab, and Jack Russel) December 21, 2009

Well, I bought the Labrador Retriever (Black), and the Jack Russel Terrier ornaments, so I'm lumping them both in this one reveiw. First off, both came on time (in the same package actually) and no damage to them.
When I had ordered them the Black Lab showed pictures with the Christmas lights in its mouth (much like the Jack Russel did too), but when I received them, only the Jack Russel had the lights in its mouth while the Lab had a Santa hat on instead. Which, now the product pictures reflect this difference. Personally I like it better because now there a little different from each other (I had seen other ornaments (lab only, this was the first place I'd seen a Jack Russel) and the pictures didn't look very good (though they probably weren't doing them justice) I decided to go with these since they had them both, and that they looked amazing). I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely do it again.
My only real complaint that I can say is that, on the Jack Russel ornament, there aren't as many lights on the line as the picture leads to believe. (I'd say probably it's missing every other one) But seriously, it still looks amazing and it'll make a great family gift this year. Very happy.

Bought this (the black lab version) for my parents to give to them for Christmas. When I was younger, we had a black/chocolate lab mix that (and I mean this in a good way) had sort of the same dopey look on her face the dog ornament has. Don't get me wrong, she was a wonderful dog. Not the brightest, but very inventive and creative if that makes sense (not that she was dumb by any means, she just made you wonder sometimes). Any rate, I am impressed by the quality of this. The size is right as well. A good gift for any animal lover.
